See Spot Go

Marc by Marc Jacobs flats. Must have! I love the fringed detail around the toe. Since these shoes are gray, they'll last all year long.

Oh well

Balenciaga's Fall/Winter Collection did not impress me much. I kinda thought it was all over the place. There's layers of clothing, but even if you take it apart and wear them as separates, they just don't seem that exciting. Hmm. For a much-talked-about designer, I expected more.

Plaid Done Right

A few designs from John Paul Gaultier's Fall/Winter 07/08 Collection included these great plaid pieces. Yellow plaid is always great - eye-catching and adorable. Also, the form on these pieces is great. It fits in all the right places.

Glamour

My picks from the Christian Dior Fall/Winter 07/08 Collection.
It's all about glamour with the Dior collection. I never pay much attention to the label's designs. They usually don't connect with me, but who can resist glam like this?

Westwood

Vivienne Westwood brought life to Paris Fashion Week. Besides Asturo Tayama, everything so far has been booooring. But Vivienne Westwood has created a great fall collection that consists of cute pieces with perfectly cut jagged edges. Layers and layers of goodness. And oh, the mix of colors - they are just right.

Go Mod

Atsuro Tayama Fall/Winter 07/08 Collection.
This collection has Twiggy written all over it. Not sure about paisley tights with a paisley dress; a bit too matchy-matchy don't you think? But as separates, it could be great.

Viktor & Rolf Fall/Winter 07/08 Collection. ugh.....interesting?

Back to Back

Jeremy Laing's spring collection is all about the backside. When you take a look at his designs from the front, they look basic; almost boring and plain. Turn the design around, and the dress becomes completely different. It's interesting and intriguing. Love it! Everything seems to be just so perfectly unkempt. I love the white dress with the keyhole opening in the back. Very cute; very perfect for spring.

Want: Fendi Clutch

Fendi Clutch from their Fall/Winter 07/08 Collection. It is too adorable! (I think I've been inspired by the Pucci collection - see post below). I can envision it now with so many different outfits. Must have now!

That 70s Fashion Show

...And that is what Emilio Pucci's Fall/Winter 07/08 Collection was - a 70s fashion show. At a time when your dark colors usually prevail, Matthew Williamson decides to use a color palette that only consists of bright colors and geometric patterns. I'm not always a big fan of 70s style (it depends on the time and the place), but I have to say, I kinda liked some of these looks. (Primarily the geometric prints in darker shades, as you can see from the looks I've chosen). And I really believe that this show was all in the details. These models, with their 70s hair, makeup and accessories, are the ones who managed to bring the whole look together. Take everything apart, and I just don't think it would make sense.
